I really like the idea of the “hidden truth”. Congratulation to the photographer and … the model of course! ;-)

Most of the time outside I use just natural light. When I do use flashes I'm likely to use the 550Ex speed lights off the camera on small stands with the ST-E2 to fire them.

Excellent work to both of you. I love Wanda's comments on the shot as well as yours Bill. It gives a nice perspective from both the sides ..the model and the photographer. Shows all the work that is put into each shot. This shot is very creative and I love the illusion in many shots for the imagination to wander. Thats what makes a great sensual, sexy shot but yet very classy. You uphold that in all your work and therre is so much to be learned here with your style. I'm just learning alot with portraits and glamour type shots and have been studying your lighting techniques and tricks, so informative. Can I ask what kind of lighting equipment you take out on location or just use the speedlight with the camera. The 20D is doing a fantastic job. Maria

A nice take on Cartier Bresson's classic.

So of course Bill got his way and I ended up having to do "one last" picture to make up for the image he couldn't get due to bad weather on the 30th of March. There we were, out in the middle of the salt flats, not a soul around for miles and miles. We did some shots with My bikini on and I even tried some shots with barefeet, but man oh man did that hurt! You can't see it in the photo, but just under the inch or so of water is this thick, sharp, crusty layer of salt that felt like glass shards as My feet broke through that layer before hitting the mud beneath it. I managed a few "runs and jumps" for Bill while bare foot, but that was all I could manage. It felt like the bottoms of My feet had been shredded to bits and I thought for sure they must be bleeding! But they weren't.

I put the "aqua socks" back on and then Bill of course requested that I "lose the bikini". We had been there for over 20 minutes already without seeing another soul, and I just KNEW that the minute I took that suit off someone would show up. And of course I was right! It hadn't been 2 minutes before I could see a truck in the distance headed our way. Of course it was just a speck on the road from that distance. So I hurried and did a few more "runs and jumps" to make Bill happy and of course it took longer than I had hoped. That speck in the distance was taking shape and I just KNEW they driver could tell I was nekkid! I am sure I looked rather silly making that last 100 yard dash to the safety of the car where I quickly through a towel over Me just as the truck went cruising on by. I could feel My face turning beet red as the driver of the truck craned his neck to peer into the car. (laffin)

It felt so good to be DONE with the project once and for all! And now the pressure was off and I knew I could pose for a picture whenever I WANTED to, not because I HAD to. (happy smile)

This image beats the first one. Much more creative and left something to the imagination.
